Kayla Peters, CVT
Community Programs Coordinator
Kayla is a Licensed Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) with over 10 years of experience working directly in veterinary hospitals. In 2023, a volunteer trip ignited her passion for advocating for pets and their families to obtain the essential, life-saving care they need. Following several similar experiences, Kayla recognized that this was the path in veterinary medicine she was meant to pursue. This inspired her to join the team in 2025 as a Community Programs Coordinator.
In her current role, Kayla works closely with veterinary hospitals through the HOPE funds program, assisting pets and their families facing life-threatening emergencies by helping to remove financial barriers to care. She collaborates with hospital teams to ensure clients receive the support they need during these urgent situations.
Kayla also utilizes her technical skills with the Care Knows No Boundaries (CKNB) program, providing vital veterinary services to remote and underserved communities, expanding access to care where it is needed most. Her dedication to compassionate care and community support is driven by her commitment to making a better world for pets and their people.
Outside of work, Kayla loves to read, take her dogs for long walks, and travel to new places - always stopping to pet a few dogs wherever she goes.
